'My Avatar' is a workshop led by Nancy Mauro-Flude, where participants are invited to dream up their avatar, their online virtual representation. It uses a range of material including old 8-bit digital technology & hardware that brings the 3D objects to life, away from the screen. Taught alongside this is an applied and a broader understanding of online digital-media processes, techniques, including how to sculpt & custom online software platforms; and how this relates back into the physical space.
This was presented by the Moonah Arts Centre as a part of the Works Festival, Glenorchy, Tasmania, Australia.
